Thabo Maleba is a Senior Android Systems Analyst with over 5 years of experience in mobile application security. Based in Cape Town, he specializes in decompiling unverified APKs, auditing manifest permissions, and reverse-engineering P2P streaming protocols to ensure user safety before publishing.
Before joining OnStreamZA as Lead Editor, Thabo worked as an independent penetration tester focused strictly on the Android ecosystem. His deep understanding of Android's sandboxing mechanics allows him to systematically stress-test third-party applications for hidden background services, memory leaks, and unauthorized data scraping.
When he isn't benchmarking the latest ExoPlayer performance metrics or writing technical teardowns for our users, Thabo is an active participant in the broader XDA Developers community.
